Singlewire Spotlight: Brice [INTERVIEW]

Each month, we feature one of our stellar team members on our blog. Learn more about them and what they do at Singlewire.

How long have you been at Singlewire and what’s your position?

I’ve been with Singlewire for just over a year and I lead our UCaaS channel development as part of the sales team.

Can you describe your work at Singlewire?

I’m focused on enabling our UCaaS partners to offer InformaCast mass notification software as part of their solution and to help meet emerging requirements for critical mass communications.

Often our conversations revolve around the question: “Do you want your phone system with or without safety?”

What do you like about working at Singlewire?

I like the people and work environment. Everyone is focused on the same set of goals and willing to help regardless of the need. Although we are a 20-year-old company we still have the spirit and energy of a start-up.

What’s been your favorite project you’ve worked on here?

Working to get us engaged with the agency channel through MicroCorp. This is a completely new sales motion and required to help drive new opportunities for our UCaaS partners.

What have you gained from working at Singlewire?

Perspective on the importance and role critical mass communications plays in protecting assets and keeping people safe. Madison is a fantastic place that reminds me of Ann Arbor, but being a Wolverine grad, I did not know the depth of the rivalry with the Badgers. They like us almost as much as I like a Buckeye.

Where do you see Singlewire in the next five years?

I see InformaCast as a key component to all UCaaS systems meeting the necessary requirements of a client: delivering key applications, protecting people and keeping the work environment safe.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

I like team sports like basketball and football, as well as fishing, boating, and golf.

What’s the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

Israel. Its biblical history, being on the Mediterranean, Dead & Red Seas, Masada, Jerusalem, and desert camel rides are all fascinating and beautiful. Or Lake George, New York. Its beautiful crystal clear water, boating, camping, hiking the Black Mountains, and history from the French and Indian War all make it very peaceful and relaxing.

What historical event would you most want to witness?

The Lions winning a Super Bowl or Michigan winning a national championship.

What TV show or movie are you most ashamed to admit you love?

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

Beef Braciole—I get my steak and Italian fix all in one.

Tell us a little about your family.

I have been married to my wonderful wife, Diane, for 28 years. We have four successful children, Zach (25), Samantha (23), Danielle (21) and Will (18)

Do you have any special talents?

I am an accomplished D3 football player. I was an Academic All-American Linebacker and am in the Albion College Hall of Fame.

What was the last book you read?

Animal Farm by George Orwell. Everyone should read this book after this election.

What is the best concert you’ve ever attended?

Doobie Brothers at Pine Knob, Michigan

Where’s your hometown?

Detroit, Mich.
