1) Tell us about your background (hometown, school, area of study, etc.).

I was born and raised in Hartland, Wisconsin and moved to Madison to attend UW-Madison. I will be graduating in December with a BS degree in Economics with a Math emphasis.

2) What's your role at Singlewire? What have you been working on?

I am a Business Development Intern here at Singlewire. I have been working on a variety of projects in the sales department, mostly working with customers to get them quotes, following up, and putting orders into our system as they come in.

3) What's your favorite thing about working at Singlewire?

My favorite thing about working at Singlewire is the welcoming environment. Everyone here is very nice and helpful, which makes this an easy place to learn and enjoy working.

4) What are your plans for the future?

I am not 100 percent sure where life after graduation will take me; however, after working here I think I would enjoy something in the field of business.

1) Tell us about your background (hometown, school, area of study, etc.).

I'm originally from Toronto, Canada, but I'm currently living in Platteville, a town one hour southwest of Madison. I'm going to be a junior next year at Cornell University, double majoring in Computer Science and Economics (and considering a minor in Statistics).

2) What's your role at Singlewire? What have you been working on?

I'm working with Ben and Grace on the Outbound Twitter project and I've been working on the backend, developing the microservice responsible for handling and storing all the data associated with the project as well as doing all the appropriate communications with Twitter and the rest of our project.

3) What's your favorite thing about working at Singlewire?

Donuts. Just kidding, but as cheesy as it sounds, I really enjoy the people here. Everyone is super approachable and friendly; it's been great getting the opportunity to learn from people who have been doing this for a very long time. I also really like how we're working on a pretty self-contained project where we get to see the whole lifecycle from start to finish. It's really cool to see the big picture of how Twitter will fit in with the various branches of Singlewire, from support to Sales to devOps. Donuts are pretty great though.

4) What are your plans for the future?

I'm still not entirely sure, but I'd like to go into software engineering. For non-career oriented plans, I would like to get back into competitive chess and visit Europe!

Here at Singlewire I’m an Accounting Intern and mainly work with Sandy on accounts payable and accounts receivable, but I also do some things for Sarah in HR like scheduling interviews.

3) What's your favorite thing about working at Singlewire?

My favorite thing about working at Singlewire has to be the people; the environment here is something I haven’t seen anywhere else.

4) What are your plans for the future?

After I graduate from UWL I plan to go into public accounting and stay somewhere in the Midwest. I’ve still got another 2.5 years until then, so it’s a pretty rough draft for now.

Shantelle Reuter

1) Tell us about your background (hometown, school, area of study, etc.).

I grew up in Lancaster, Wisconsin and graduated in 2014 from Lancaster High. I will be entering my senior year at Edgewood College here in Madison where I will graduate with my major in communications with an emphasis in organizational and interpersonal communications as well as a minor in business.

2) What's your role at Singlewire? What have you been working on?

My role at Singlewire is as a marketing communications intern. This summer has brought several opportunities to touch base in the many different areas that marketing has to offer. Just a few of my projects consisted of data clean up for partners and companies, helping create a setup and teardown guide for the trade show booth, working on material for the solutions page of the website, increasing social media followers and increasing backlink opportunities.

3) What's your favorite thing about working at Singlewire?

My favorite thing about working at Singlewire is by far the workplace environment that Singlewire has. The values of the company, the open and honest communication throughout all employees, the flexibility and the support from anyone you come in contact with are just a few examples of why I have loved my experience here!

4) What are your plans for the future?

One of my main goals is to be hired before graduation, so my drive to meet that goal will be top of mind as graduation approaches in May. I hope to work in a company where the values and work environment are similar to those here at Singlewire!
