Christopher Columbus School Extends Overhead Paging with InformaCast

Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, FL, is a private, college preparatory high school. Run by the Marist brothers, CCHS has provided educational excellence since 1958 and currently has an enrollment of approximately 1,400 students and a campus spread out across four main academic buildings.

Business Challenge:

Christopher Columbus High School utilized an analog two-way paging system and a system to schedule and maintain its school bells. With the paging system beginning to fail, the school bell system requiring manual programming, and clocks that had to be synchronized by hand, the school needed a simpler solution.

Christopher Columbus High School turned to InformaCast mass notification and automated school bell system along with Atlas Sound two-way IP speakers with clocks for a unified communications solution. InformaCast made use of the Cisco IP phones and the new IP speakers already installed, and integrated with existing analog speakers saving the school money.
