InformaCast Reporting Options

When you deploy a new system in your organization, you want to know it delivers on what it promises to do. The more data an organization has on hand, the more strategic and successful it can be when sending critical information.

InformaCast emergency notification software offers a number of reporting options for administrators to examine the execution of their notifications, including:

  • Users: Get details on everyone signed up to receive InformaCast emergency notification broadcasts. Administrators can view this information in bulk, or drill down to look at specific distribution lists or security groups. It also provides details on device registration.
  • Anonymous Users: This report provides insights into how many people have signed up to receive anonymous alerts for short-term events, and can be used to see how many of the people signed up are being reached with emergency notifications.
  • Opt-Out: Administrators can see who has asked not to receive messages from InformaCast. Looking at who has opted-out of receiving alerts lets users know who they are not reaching. It also gives them an opportunity to evaluate their notification strategy.
  • Notification History: Administrators can view a complete scope of notification history and then filter by a specific date range. This function gives administrators the ability to review all the data points relevant to their distributions, determine if any changes or updates need to be made, and bolster their emergency notification strategy for improved results.
  • Confirmation Responses: Notifications can be sent out and ask for a response from the recipient. Responses can be viewed in real-time from the InformaCast Mobile app or the InformaCast web console.

All reports can be exported as .csv files for sorting and filtering to easily access specific information. This makes managing user data simple, so administrators have confidence knowing they are reaching everyone that needs to be reached.

Mobile Response Tracking

When an emergency situation occurs, the number one priority should be getting information into the hands of the people that need it to stay safe. However, there is a second critical step that not all emergency notification systems can fulfill: knowing if those people are safe or if they need assistance.

This has been a key component of InformaCast Mobile and Fusion for several years. Users know they can send messages with confirmation responses and see real-time updates to know who is safe and who needs assistance. But InformaCast can also be configured to automatically track the location of any user that requests assistance. Once users say they need assistance, they are entered into a tracking event. This provides administrators with a map of the event, the confirmation response option that triggered the event, and the users associated with it. System administrators will receive real-time updates on where people are and view their movements to direct them to safe areas or coordinate with responders to provide assistance.

Escalate Notifications

InformaCast offers the ability to send mass notifications to specific groups of people. This is sometimes done during sensitive incidents when only a select group of people need to know about an event. However, sometimes this group may be too small, and the people who are trying to be reached do not respond in a timely manner. Organizations then need to expand the audience for their message to ensure someone responds.

When an InformaCast broadcast is distributed, you can escalate the message to reach a wider audience if no one responds to the initial broadcast. This can be done automatically with preconfigured rules tied to the message, or with manually by an administrator depending on the severity of the event. This ensures that the right personnel are aware of the situation and can react to it.


Managing Incidents with InformaCast

When an incident occurs, alerting people is half the battle. Organizations need to be able to quickly gather key team members who can help manage a situation and deploy a response. InformaCast offers several ways to easily bring together the people who can help assess a situation and provide assistance during an emergency. Leverage tools people use every day, including:

Conference Calling

  • Automatically invite people to join a conference call following an InformaCast broadcast from a mobile or desk phone.

Webex Messaging

  • Webex Messaging can serve as an endpoint for InformaCast broadcasts and automatically bring select people into a Webex Teams meeting following an InformaCast broadcast

Microsoft Teams

  • Microsoft Teams can serve as an endpoint for InformaCast broadcasts, Teams users can trigger InformaCast broadcasts from within Teams, and Teams can automatically launch a collaboration channel with select team members following an InformaCast broadcast.

Each of these methods can speed up the time it takes to respond to and manage an incident.
