Paul Shain is a seasoned technology industry executive who was most recently senior vice president and executive committee member of CDW, a leading provider of technology products and services for business, government, and education. Shain was responsible for product and partner management, marketing, professional services, and business development.
Shain also served as CEO of Madison, Wisconsin-based Berbee Information Networks Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of CDW Corporation, acquired in October 2006. Shain joined Berbee in 2000 as president, and was appointed chief executive officer in 2005. Prior to joining Berbee, Shain was managing director and director of research for Robert W. Baird & Co., Inc., a regional investment banking firm headquartered in Milwaukee, WI.
Shain graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor of business administration in finance and a master of business administration in Finance. Shain holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and has served on executive partner councils for both IBM Corporation and Cisco Systems. In addition, Shain currently serves on the board of directors of Promega Corporation, Campbell Alliance Group, and Fiduciary Management Inc.
Ken Bywaters has a proven track record of guiding successful products from development through the sales channel. Bywaters founded the InformaCast group in 1998 and has continued deep involvement in every aspect of the business since then. Prior to founding the InformaCast business, Bywaters helped to build and maintain one of the most successful eCommerce sites on the Internet. Also in 1998, Bywaters founded the network security business within Berbee and went on to manage the eSolutions sales force and serve as the director of software development. Bywaters finished his time at Berbee as vice president of voice products. Since Berbee was acquired by CDW in 2006, Bywaters has continued to direct the InformaCast business and oversee its growth.
Bywaters holds a bachelor of science in atmospheric science from Texas A&M University and a master of science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Atmospheric Science. Bywaters was featured in Business Week for his work in network security during the 2000 Republican National Convention, and has been working with the core group of the engineers in the InformaCast group for over 17 years.
Greg Sliwicki is a seasoned sales and technology industry executive that was most recently group vice president and officer of CDW, a leading provider of technology products and services for business, government, and education. Sliwicki was responsible for advanced technology and services sales along with field office operations. Sliwicki also served as president of Madison, Wisconsin-based Berbee Information Networks Corporation, which was acquired in October 2006 as a wholly owned subsidiary of CDW Corporation.
Sliwicki joined Berbee in 1998 as branch manager and was appointed vice president of sales in 2001, and then president in 2005. Prior to joining Berbee, Sliwicki was an advisory client executive for IBM for 14 years. Sliwicki graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor of business administration in information systems and marketing in 1984. Sliwicki is past president of Optimist International and currently serves on the board of directors of Visicom Corporation.
Brett Rimkus serves as Singlewire’s Chief Financial Officer. Having participated in the March 2009 company formation, he currently is responsible for finance, human resources, and legal aspects of operations.
Pat Scheckel has over 16 years of experience in the IT industry, including eleven with unified communications. Most recently, he was vice president of converged infrastructure at CDW, responsible for leading the practices of unified communication, security, networking and sever/storage for the company’s national customer base.
In 2001, Scheckel joined Berbee Information Networks and founded the Berbee Chicago office. He went on to establish the contact center practice in 2002, serve as voice product manager in 2003, and was appointed vice president of the Cisco practice in 2006, accounting for 62% of annual company revenue.
Scheckel graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing and risk management. Pat also holds an MBA with a concentration in information systems from the University of Minnesota.
Jerry Steinhauer has over 20 years of IT industry experience, joining Singlewire from Berbee/CDW, where he was a thought leader and developer in the Unified Communications engineering group. Steinhauer joined Berbee in 1995 and began working with Cisco voice on CallManager 2.4 in 1999. He was part of the team that first constructed InformaCast and contributed architectural advice for other Singlewire applications. He used his unique mix of technical and development skills to help build and support CDW’s UC engineering group across the Midwest. In 2008, Steinhauer was awarded the CDW Crystal Award, given to the company’s top 10 performers.
