Four Key Updates

The video below outlines four major updates included in InformaCast Advanced Notification 12.0.1.

Cisco Emergency Notifications Paging –This module is built into Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.0.1. This wizard-based feature offers simple set up of InformaCast for emergency call alerting and virtual panic button. This drastically reduces set up time to less than 10 minutes, so users can quickly see the benefits this emergency notification tools can have for their organization.

FIPS 140-2 Validated Encryption – This new security measure helps keep data protected and provides a secure set of rules for how InformaCast makes and receives connections over TLS and SSL.

Ad hoc Paging – If an InformaCast broadcast is underway, a second broadcast will be queued and delivered when the first broadcast is completed.

InformaCast Backup Process – All communication between InformaCast and a user’s SFTP server is encrypted and secured with the user’s security passphrase.

Additional Features

These are just a few of the advancements included in the InformaCast 12.0.1 release. Additional improvements include:

  • No Dropbox account and integration needed for Jabber IM/Lync plugins
