A mass notification system can be a significant investment for an organization, so knowing everything that is included ahead of time is often critical when organizations make a selection. At Singlewire Software, we’ve made strides to be more transparent with our pricing models to help potential customers understand what they can expect to pay for utilizing our InformaCast software. While this has helped potential customers have a better understanding of our pricing model, one question we still encounter is people asking about what is included in active maintenance.

In this blog post, we’ll detail what that means for different InformaCast service levels and explain why it’s a necessary component when purchasing InformaCast.

Unparalleled Support and the Latest Updates

Maintenance gives customers access to our support team, our Community, and provides them with free upgrades to their InformaCast software. This is important for two reasons. First, customers regularly return high ratings to our support team for the assistance they have received. Our support team works hand-in-hand with customers to understand and solve issues to make sure their InformaCast emergency notification system is up and running properly. Second, we offer multiple updates to our InformaCast service levels throughout the course of a calendar year. We encourage customers to always run the most recent InformaCast software update because it provides new features that offer UI enhancements and additional notification capabilities.

Defined by Different Service Levels

For subscriptions to InformaCast Advanced Notification, InformaCast Mobile and InformaCast Fusion, maintenance is included. For the purchase of the perpetual version of InformaCast Advanced notification, a maintenance contract is sold separately. Maintenance also grants the customer access to the support team and upgrades as mentioned above. While the level of support a customer receives is not impacted by the service level they purchase, the way each service level receives upgrades is different. InformaCast Advanced users will need to download and install new update files. The cloud elements of InformaCast Fusion and InformaCast Mobile are updated automatically, while the onsite component of InformaCast Fusion needs a manual update.
