The InformaCast Wearable Alert Badge
Give each member of your staff the ability to request help the moment issues arise with the InformaCast Wearable Alert Badge. This wearable panic button is backed by our InformaCast software, enabling staff to initiate alerts with two button press options for daily issues and full-scale emergencies. Once activated, alerts are delivered via InformaCast as text, audio, and visuals, including the name of the person who activated their badge and highlighting their location on a map to ensure a swift response.

The InformaCast Mobile App
System administrators can create mobile panic buttons within the InformaCast app web interface. These buttons then appear within the InformaCast app on designated end-users’ phones. When a user activates a button, they receive instructions and are able to connect with safety teams via a phone call directly from the app.
Administrators are notified when someone activates the button and can see the user’s location through the app and send follow-up messages. The event is tracked so information can be relayed to first responders, so they know the situation, where to go, and who is involved.
The InformaCast Desktop App
Turn desktop computers into easily accessible panic buttons. Download the InformaCast app to Windows computers to configure keyboard shortcuts that serve as panic buttons. This short combination of keys will initiate a preconfigured message to send an alert. The desktop app can also be used to receive messages and initiate alerts that can be sent throughout your organization.
Desk Phone Soft Keys
Make panic buttons as accessible as possible by configuring soft keys on desk phones. These pre-configured buttons can launch lockdowns, evacuations, or signal that someone is in danger. This way, people can quickly activate alerts and get to safety without drawing attention to themselves. Send text and prerecorded audio to specific security personnel or throughout your organization.
Mounted Devices
Physical devices such as Power over Ethernet (PoE) panic buttons help minimize the risk of the button accidentally being pressed. Mount these devices under a desk or in a discreet location. When a button is pressed, text and audio can be automatically sent throughout a building or to a specific group of responders.
Alyssa’s Law Compliance
States across the country are passing or proposing Alyssa’s Law, which requires schools to implement silent panic buttons that alert people within a building and reach local dispatchers to notify them of an issue. The InformaCast Wearable Alert Badge and other InformaCast-enabled panic buttons can send alerts to computers, digital signage, desk phones, scrolling displays, mobile devices, and local dispatchers with location information to help facilitate an effective response during an emergency.
Visit our Schools & Districts page to learn how InformaCast can help meet Alyssa’s Law requirements.
