Paul Shain

Paul Shain - President and Chief Executive Officer

Paul Shain is President and Chief Executive Officer of Singlewire. He has led the strategic direction of the company since its founding in 2009. Under Paul’s direction, the Singlewire team has grown from a handful of people to over 70 employees.

Paul is a seasoned technology industry executive who previously was Senior Vice President and Executive Committee Member at CDW, a leading provider of technology products and services for business, government, and education.

Prior to CDW, Paul was CEO of Madison-based Berbee Information Networks Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDW Corporation, acquired by CDW in October 2006. Paul began his career in the Investment business, serving as Managing Director and Director of Research for Robert W. Baird & Co., Inc., a regional investment banking firm headquartered in Milwaukee, WI. Paul’s focus at Baird was the Information Technology Services space.

Paul graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a bachelor’s degree and MBA in finance. Paul holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and has served on executive partner councils for both IBM Corporation and Cisco Systems. In addition, Paul currently serves on the board of directors for Fiduciary Management Inc., American Family Insurance Company, Ahead IT, and the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association.


 

Greg Sliwicki

Greg Sliwicki - Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Greg Sliwicki leads worldwide sales for Singlewire. In this capacity, he is responsible for the strategy to expand the company's customer base and revenues. Under his leadership, the company has grown from 1,000 customers to over 8,000 in 56 countries.

Greg is a seasoned technology sales executive who was previously Group Vice President at CDW. Prior to CDW, Greg was President of Madison-based Berbee Information Networks Corporation, which was acquired by CDW in October 2006. During his tenure at Berbee, revenues grew from $27 million to nearly $500 million. Greg led the effort to integrate Berbee’s field-based sales force with CDW’s inside team. He began his career with IBM, holding various sales positions over a 15-year tenure.

Greg graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Business (BBA) and currently serves on the board of directors for Singlewire Software. He is a past president of Optimist International and has also served on the boards of Valicom and Liveality.


 

Ken Bywaters

KEN BYWATERS - EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

Ken established the original group of InformaCast developers in 1998 and has continued to have a deep involvement in the company ever since. Ken is responsible for the direction of Singlewire Software’s mass notification software products, including InformaCast Basic Paging, InformaCast Mobile, and InformaCast Resiliency. He played a crucial role in negotiating the OEM agreement with Cisco Systems and continues to lead collaborative efforts between the two companies.

Ken has a proven track record of guiding successful products from development through the sales channel. Prior to founding the InformaCast mass notification system business, Ken helped to build and maintain one of the most successful eCommerce sites on the Internet. Also in 1998, Ken founded the network security business within Berbee and went on to manage the eSolutions sales force and serve as the Director of Software Development. Ken finished his time at Berbee as Vice President of Voice Products. Since Berbee was acquired by CDW in 2006, Ken has continued to direct the InformaCast business and oversee its growth.

Ken holds a bachelor of science in atmospheric science from Texas A&M University and a master of science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in atmospheric science. Ken was featured in Business Week for his work in network security during the 2000 Republican National Convention, and has been working with the engineers in the core InformaCast group for over 17 years.


 

Brett Rimkus

Brett Rimkus - Chief Financial Officer

Brett Rimkus serves as Singlewire's Chief Financial Officer. Having participated in the March 2009 company formation, he currently is responsible for finance, internal IT, human resources, and legal aspects of operations.

From 1997 to 2006, Brett served as Chief Financial Officer for a regional technology reseller and managed service provider. During his tenure, revenues grew from $18 million to nearly $500 million. In 2006, the company was acquired by a Fortune 500 company and Brett co-led the integration of the companies and served in various executive positions through 2008.

Prior to these roles, Brett gained more than 12 years of experience working in the public accounting industry.

Brett graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. He holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Brett is a founding director of the Fitchburg Chamber of Commerce and served on its board of directors for five years. He also serves on the advisory board for Cascade Asset Management LLC, on Madison Development Corporation’s Venture Debt Fund Advisory Committee, and as Treasurer for Technology Education Foundation. He has participated in a public school site council, parent-teacher organization, coaching youth basketball and is working on his tree pose. Namaste.


 

Pat Scheckel

Pat Scheckel - Senior Vice President of Marketing

Pat Scheckel joined Singlewire Software in 2010 and is currently responsible for the direction of the marketing team. Pat’s objectives include delivering an outstanding customer experience, demand generation and content development. In previous roles at Singlewire, Pat managed the North Central sales territory and managed Singlewire’s support services group.

Pat has 20+ years of experience in the IT industry, including two decades with unified communications and collaboration. In 2001, he joined Berbee Information Networks as co-founder of the Chicago office. Following CDW's acquisition of Berbee in 2006, Pat served as Vice President of converged infrastructure, responsible for leading the pre-sales engineering groups for unified communications, security, and networking for the company’s national customer base.

Pat graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing and risk management and also holds an MBA with a concentration in information systems from the University of Minnesota. Pat lives with his wife and two children in Madison, where he volunteers with the Vilas neighborhood association and the Madison Nordic Ski Club.


 

David Tucker

David Tucker - Senior Vice President of Business Development

David Tucker joined Singlewire Software in 2016 and serves as the Senior Vice President of Business Development. His focus is to expand Singlewire’s strategic partnerships and grow its presence among businesses and public sector entities worldwide.

One of the founding members of the Collaboration business at Cisco, Tucker previously led the worldwide Collaboration Go-to-Market efforts, and drove product simplification across the Collaboration Technology Group (CTG) portfolio.

Beginning in 2005, Tucker was the Vice President and General Manager of the Cisco’s Small Business Technology Group (SBTG). He was responsible for addressing the “Connect” elements of Cisco’s mid-market networking strategy. As part of that effort, he managed the innovation and expansion of product solutions, which included the integration of small business best practices and alignment with Cisco’s existing products.

Tucker joined Cisco in 1998 as part of the Selsius Systems acquisition. As Co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Selsius, he helped to pioneer the consolidation of voice and data networks, and led the vision to create the first IP PBX. He later held various roles in General Management and Business Development at Cisco.

Prior to Selsius, David served in leadership roles at technology companies where he was responsible for notable innovations like the creation of an enterprise video PBX platform, Incite. His initial experience began within the PBX and Call Center industry, managing sales teams, and delivering high-value solutions to enterprise customers.

David holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree of business administration in marketing from Texas A&M University.


 

Jerry Steinhauer

Jerry Steinhauer - Chief Technology Officer

Jerry Steinhauer is responsible for Singlewire product architecture, as well as integrating Singlewire products with those of third parties. He played a large role in the creation of InformaCast mass notification system, as well as the many developments that have shaped it into the product it is today. Following the OEM agreement between Singlewire Software and Cisco Systems, Jerry served and continues to serve as a Singlewire representative to Cisco Systems and is a valued member of the team there as well as at Singlewire.

Jerry has over 20 years of IT experience. He joined Singlewire from Berbee/CDW, where he was a thought leader and developer in the Unified Communications engineering group. Jerry joined Berbee in 1995 and began working with Cisco voice on CallManager 2.4 in 1999. He used his unique mix of technical and development skills to help build and support CDW’s UC engineering group across the Midwest.

Jerry holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science with an emphasis in systems programming from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He has also been Cisco Voice CCIE #12504 since 2003.


 

Tim Green 

Tim Green - Vice President of Software Development

Tim Green has been an integral part of the Singlewire team since 2010. For the past several years, Tim has managed half of the development team, focusing on the customer-facing applications of InformaCast mass notification software. In Tim's prior role at Singlewire, he worked closely with customers and partners for four years as Territory Manager for the northeast region. In this role, he established strong relationships with several large client companies and grew the territory six fold.

Tim has extensive experience in the Information Technology field. He worked for 12 years in Professional Software Development and he was a Unix Systems Architect. He also managed the engineering program at Berbee Information Networks and CDW and helped open branches in Detroit, Wausau, and Indianapolis.

Tim has a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Michigan Technological University.


 

Larry McGuire 

Larry McGuire - Vice President of Software Development

Larry McGuire oversees the ongoing development of Singlewire’s flagship product InformaCast, a mass notification software product he’s been involved with since 2005. Under his management, InformaCast has grown from a phone application for evacuation notices to a full-featured emergency and mass notification system with automated features like weather alerts, 911 call monitoring, conference call capabilities, and the ability to integrate with a variety of devices.

Larry has 21 years of experience in software development and 9 years of experience in software product management. He started working for Berbee in 1997 as a software developer. In this role, he worked on several projects, including the Lands’ End website. Larry was also a software developer for AT&T Bell Laboratories and for the University of Wisconsin Space Science and Engineering Center.

Larry has a bachelor of science degree from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where he majored in math and minored in computer science. He enjoys sharing his passion for computer science and volunteered for several years at a local high school teaching students about Java programming. Larry owns a small farm and enjoys working on it in his free time.
