Singlewire Spotlight: Angie [INTERVIEW]

Each month, we feature one of our stellar team members on our blog. Learn more about them and what they do at Singlewire.

How long have you been at Singlewire and what’s your position?

I’ve been at Singlewire for five years, and I am the ISR Manager.

Please describe what you do at Singlewire.

I manage the day-to-day operations of the sales support team, which include the Inside Sales reps (Stephanie, Gaby, and Dan), Order Fulfillment and Billing (Alena), and our Sales Operations Business Analyst (Melissa). My team supports the sales team's many functions like generating quotes, order entry and fulfillment, managing our CRM tool Salesforce, issuing Advanced license keys, provisioning Fusion and Mobile, and more. As a team, we look for ways to improve internal processes that better support the Territory and Account Managers and our customers and partners. I have a stellar squad!

What do you like best about working at Singlewire?

My degree is in radio, television, and film, and having spent most of my career in that industry, I was overworked, undervalued, and treated less than human. What I love best about Singlewire is that the company truly values its employees, not just for their talent, but for who they are as individuals.

Ask me about my days working in Los Angeles as a production assistant – It was brutal.

What’s been your favorite project you’ve worked on here?

As a member of the culture council, my favorite project that we do as a company is adopting two families through the Badger Childhood Cancer Network Program to fill their Christmas wish lists! It is the most rewarding project! I have enjoyed being the voiceover talent for many of our online videos too.

What have you gained from working at Singlewire?

Tango gift cards and two chili cookoff trophies – Kidding. I have gained great friendships, professional growth, more in-depth knowledge of software and sales, and what it means to be a part of something great.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

During my spare time, I love to watch and play sports; golf and horseshoes have become my two focus areas in the past few years. Spending time in the kitchen and sharing food with family and friends makes me very happy. I also love to watch movies, comedy specials, and documentaries.

What’s the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

I have traveled to many places, but one of the most memorable was a seven-day canoe trip through the Boundary Waters. There was no cell service, motorized boats, vehicles, or planes: just remote campsites, crystal clear water, wildlife, and the northern lights. Everything we needed to survive, we had to carry on our backs. It was physically and mentally challenging, but the areas' beauty, the stillness, hiking, and canoeing through this place where you could get away from everything was priceless.

What TV show or movie are you most ashamed to admit you love?

Keeping up with the Kardashians, although I’m not ashamed. I love reality TV – The Real Housewives, Teen Mom, Vanderpump Rules, there are so many good ones!

What is the best concert you’ve ever attended?

Taylor Swift at Country Thunder in 2009. Why? Because I had the pleasure of introducing her on stage in front of over 10,000 fans. Then I watched the concert from the sound booth with her parents and a few other country music artists. Concerts is the one thing that I miss about working in radio.

Where’s your hometown?

Deerfield, Wisconsin. Located twenty minutes southeast of Madison.
