Singlewire Spotlight: Melissa

Each month, we feature one of our stellar team members on our blog. Learn more about them and what they do at Singlewire.

How long have you been at Singlewire and what’s your position?

I've been with the company for six years. I'm a Sales Operations Analyst.

Please describe what you do at Singlewire.

When we roll out new processes or hire for new positions, my role is to make sure that the processes we have in place still run smoothly with those changes. Or, if we need to change those processes, I work to do that. I talk to a lot of different people internally, gather information, and try to make sure everything continues to run like a well-oiled machine.

What do you like best about working at Singlewire?

The people for sure. I feel like we're able to do our jobs and enjoy the time we spend together. It's definitely fun to work here and the people make it that way.

What’s been your favorite project you’ve worked on here?

We recently updated our quoting tool, which was a long process that included a lot of different departments, so it's been quite the accomplishment and I'm proud to say I was a part of it.

What have you gained from working at Singlewire?

Some great friendships.

Where do you see Singlewire in the next five years?

This is a company that is doing great things, and we've been able to help a lot of organizations. I can only see that continuing. We have great developers here that are committed to solving problems and creating the best product.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

Spending time with my daughter and husband. It really doesn't matter what we do because it's just great to hang with my family.

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to witness?

The moon landing.

What TV show or movie are you most ashamed to admit you love?

Anything on Lifetime, especially if the movie stars Tori Spelling.

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Lentils. Boring, right? I find them delicious!

Tell us a little about your family.

My husband Jayme and I have a daughter and she's just a lot of personality. Is she a lot like me? Yes. Is she a lot to handle? Also, yes. But I'm not mad about it. She's pretty great. Jayme couldn't be a more perfect husband, father, and friend.

Do you have any special talents?

Maybe not a talent, but I love to prank people.

What was the last book you read?

Does a Buzzfeed article count?

What is the best concert you’ve ever attended?

Countess LuAnn from Real Housewives of New York has a cabaret show. IT WAS EVERYTHING.

Spotify, Pandora or Apple Music and why?

Spotify. No reason. It's just easy.

Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses?

I'm a lover, not a fighter.

Where’s your hometown?

Janesville, Wis.
