Singlewire Spotlight: Stephanie

Each month, we feature one of our stellar team members on our blog. Learn more about them and what they do at Singlewire.

How long have you been at Singlewire and what’s your position?

I’m an Inside Sales Representative here at Singlewire. Hard to believe but I’ve been here almost two whole years. Time flies when you’re having fun!

Please describe what you do at Singlewire.

I help support my five Territory Managers with quotes, orders and enforcing our guidelines. Together we manage the west region in the US, and all the international business. On the customer service side of things, I’m always offering up helpful tips, and answering questions for customers or resellers and doing so with a smile. Every day can be a bit hectic, but I can’t complain much as I really do have a great team here in the office to lean on if needed. I also am biased, but my Territory Managers really are the best. I try to be very personable with my team and my customers, which leads to a nice mix of professionalism and real life with my customer service.

What do you like best about working at Singlewire?

The flexibility by far. Home sick? Work from home. Want to hang out with your dog at work? Bring your dog to work. Enjoy talking to your colleagues? Cool, you have awesome colleagues to chat with. Work-life balance? We 100 percent have that here.

What have you gained from working at Singlewire?

Good friends with great work ethic and I’ve learned you don’t always have to carry the burden alone as my colleagues are happy to help lend a hand and answer questions when needed.

Where do you see Singlewire in the next five years?

The world is our oyster! (I’ve always loved that saying)

I think in five years Singlewire as a company will have overcome many hurdles and obstacles along the way. Emergency notification is something that saves lives. We’re here to make a difference and people know that we’re good at it. New integrations to keep up with the times and technology is a must. Keep an eye on us to see what is on the road map for the future!

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

If I had to pick, I’m more of a listen to music all day compared to watch TV all day kind of gal. What I really enjoy in my free time is hanging out with my dogs. I have a two-year-old pug named Kero, and my boyfriend has a three-year-old black lab named Bart. Basically, they are on a schedule so anything outside of work consists of planning around the dogs. I enjoy going out with friends and listening to music, but at the end of the day, I just enjoy being home with my dogs. If you don’t have any pets, I will say they are a great source of entertainment! #dogmom4life

What TV show or movie are you most ashamed to admit you love?

I guess I can’t be too ashamed because I’m calling it out on this blog post! I secretly love anime, but I love most things directed by Hayao Miyazaki. The movie Spirited Away is a guilty pleasure of mine but it is also a beautiful film. If you have two-plus hours to spare I suggest spending some time with it if you haven’t already!

What is the best concert you’ve ever attended?

In 2019 as a Christmas gift around my birthday, my boyfriend flew me out to Los Angeles, Calif. to see one of my favorite bands, Atmosphere. It was a great reason to get away for vacation, and super fun to see them outside of the Midwest. They are a 20+ year-old “not your typical” hip-hop group from 1996 who is still out there making great music to this day.

Spotify, Pandora or iTunes and why?

iTunes, and I don’t even own an iPhone! My reasoning behind this is that I can justify spending 10 bucks a month to download at least one CD, and it all stays on my phone! On another note, I still love to buy CDs if I can find them.

Where’s your hometown?

I was born in Wisconsin, but I grew up in a suburb of Chicago called Mundelein. I’ve gotten used to saying it is near Gurnee as people recognize Gurnee, Ill. for the Gurnee Mills Mall and Six Flags. However, I do come across some people who know the town Mundelein. I always thought I would end up back in Ill. one day, but seven years later I’m still in Madison!
