From TAPinto Millburn/Short Hills
Before school began last week, Michael Skara, Director of Technology of Millburn Public Schools demonstrated the township’s newest security device.
He explained, “The purpose of using this tool is to keep our students and staff as safe as we possibly can. We already have security cameras. We already have SROs [School Resource Officers] on campus. We already have a lockdown button.”
Skara continued, “This is another tool in our toolbox to help keep our campuses safe. So, every visitor will be required to possess a state issued ID to get into our schools, just as they have previously.”
