Madison, Wis. – June 13, 2023 – Singlewire Software, the leader in solutions that help keep people safe and informed, has won a 2023 Secure Campus Award from Campus Security and Life Safety. The company won a gold award for its Visitor Aware solution in the Visitor Management category. The awards honor outstanding campus security services and products.

“Creating a safe campus requires secure entrances,” said Paul Shain, president and CEO of Singlewire Software. “Visitor Aware helps ensure that every visitor that enters a campus building knows that safety is a top priority.”

Visitor Aware is a visitor check-in and management solution that eliminates pen and paper sign-in sheet to help campuses know exactly who is entering their buildings and have confidence they are letting in people who are allowed to be there. Using ID scanning and encrypted facial recognition, Visitor Aware screens visitors and volunteers against sex offender databases, government watchlists, and active legal injunctions. Issues are flagged for staff to identify potential threats and approved guests can have a badge printed to show they are allowed to be in the school building. Visitor Aware requires no proprietary hardware, leverages encrypted facial recognition, offers district-wide insights, and gives schools the ability to send registration links to approve visitors ahead of their visit.

“No campus wants someone to enter their buildings who shouldn’t be there,” said Bennett Stone, creator of Visitor Aware. “Visitor Aware uses advanced screening tools that result in fewer false positives, so campuses can be confident they are granting access to people who do not pose a threat to their students or staff.”

Visitor Aware was selected by an independent panel of judges from the security industry who judged its features, innovation, user-friendliness, interoperability, quality, design, market opportunity, and impact in the security industry.

“Thanks to all of this year’s entrants for their continued efforts to establish campuses as safe, secure environments of education and business,” said Matt Jones, senior editor for Campus Security & Life Safety. “The entries demonstrated the infinite creativity of industry professionals to continue improving past products and developing new ones as needs arise.”

Visitor Aware is also compatible with Singlewire Software’s InformaCast mass notification and incident management software to offer campuses a complete safety and communication solution. To learn more about Visitor Aware, visit www.singlewire.com/visitor-aware.
